Weekly Update - April 9th-13th

We had a fabulous week before khmer New Year. We completed our final art works and wrote responses that clearly explained our art form and connection to the work. We reflected on our learning and referred back to the creative cycle and our success criteria. We exhibited our work and enjoyed sharing our ideas and journals with others.

We loved sharing our learning at the student led conferences. Students selected the learning they wished to share, read stories, explained mathematical understandings, writing samples and unit of inquiry work.

They were confident and articulate!

Many thanks to the students and parents for taking this time to share, explain, question and engage with each-other.

We celebrated Khmer New Year by learning about the festivities and playing some traditional games. Thank you to our Teacher assistants for organising a wonderful session full of interesting activities and fun.

The week ended with assembly.. They Early Years students gave us an insight into their day to day activities with an awesome video and gymnastics routine.Foreign language students sang songs to share their learning, and Victoria was officially welcomed on the raft by Mr Barry.

I hope you all had a safe and happy Khmer New Year.

This is a little reminder that ISPP will be celebrating Earth Day on the first day back after the break. Children are encouraged to wear green.
