Weekly Update: April 2nd - April 6th

This week we welcomed our new student Victoria to the class. She has settled in quickly and we are loving the new addition to our room!

On Wednesday, a group of girls from our class finalized plans for a Friendship fun day they had been organizing. They helped plan activities fro Elementary students to participate in during their recess and lunch breaks. They had face painting, tattoos, bookmarks, friendship hearts, and friendship bracelets.

There was an incredible turn out of students to the event and it was a fabulous day. Thank you Ms Alison for helping the girls with their planning!

Mathematics - We have been learning to tell time and solve problems involving time. Here are some photo's of us during our learning in math this week.

On Friday, we got an opportunity to visit the grade 5 students who shared their Exhibition presentations and learning journals with us. It was really inspiring to see how much time, though and creativity went into their varied displays and products. Well done grade 5!

Earlier in the week, we read a story called 'What are you grateful for little bug' By Sarah Akroyd, and watched her explain the inspiration for her story on a morning news show. The students reflected on what they were grateful for in nature and illustrated their work in their nature journals. We shared some of our learning with her and received this reply!

"I thought my week couldn't get any cooler, but then I received this amazing art and writing in my messenger, inspired from "What are you Grateful for Little Bug?" All the way from CAMBODIA!!!!
These gorgeous kids just showed that gratitude speaks all languages I guess" ❤️❤️❤️❤️️ Love Sarah
