Book Week- Day 1

Day One
On Monday, we had a welcome assembly to open book week. David Schwartz inspired us by introducing some of his books and the inspiration behind them. Here are a few of his titles...all with a mathematics theme.

We loved seeing what ten thousand , one hundred thousand, and a million kernels of popcorn looked like!

Many of us went to the knowledge centre at break time and listened to parents reading in their mother tongue.

We tried to guess who today's mystery reader would be. Most of the class though it would be a parent...but it was Mr Barry. We enjoyed hearing 'If Children Ruled the World' and The Gruffalo's Child.

We continued working on our door display and enjoyed a drama performance by the Grade 12 students. It was very funny!

Don't forget a poem for tomorrow...and start thinking about your book week costume for Friday.
