In case you missed this on the school Facebook page...Take a look!
In class it has been another busy week and the students have worked incredibly hard. Thank you all for being such fabulous thinkers and inquirers!
Integrated Writing: We continued to develop our understanding of report writing. This week we published our reports about archaeologists and shared them with our peers. We will continue to build on these skills when we write a report about our chosen research topics.
Children used a planning scaffold to assist them. Here are some images of their completed pyramid outlines and first drafts.
Then they edited and published their work. Here is Elena's example;
Inquiry: We decided to choose a 'lens' to explore the past through. Children will have to explain how evidence from the past helps them to understand Cambodia after focusing on one or two selected areas of interest.
These are the lenses the class chose to examine the past through;

Children also enjoyed sharing their Relative Interviews. We got a great insight into how everyday life has changed over time by reading these. Thank you to all families for supporting this home learning activity. It was really valuable.
