Learning to Communicate in PE

Today we completed an activity called 'poisonous pool' in PE. Students had to navigate their blindfolded partner to the 4 sides of the pool.

This linked with two of the attitudes we are focusing on during this unit - cooperation, and commitment.

First: They could navigate their partner through by holding them.
Second: One partner had to stay outside the pool and navigate from there. It was very tricky with all the noise! They needed  to create different commands like clapping, using numbers, or speaking in their mother tongue. It was very interesting learning!

We also took time to revisit some of the great questions we posed during one of our PE sessions last week. Some children had conducted research in class and found out the answers to these. They shared their understandings with their classmates.
