Last week, we wrapped up our learning on fractions. We displayed our learning and shared it on seesaw. To celebrate our learning, we made our own pizzas. First we voted on our favorite toppings and organised our thinking into tally charts and bar graphs. Once that was done...we could work out how many pizzas we needed to make and how they should be partitioned. It was delicious fun!
SOLVING REAL PROBLEMS:
Ms Karyn gave us a challenge this week in math. We were shown this problem below and had to problem solve to find the answer. There was a lot of strategic thinking going on!
UOI
It was an incredible week of learning as children inquired into endangered Cambodian animals. They researched, made notes, discussed ideas, wrote persuasively and created displays. They adored collaborating with their peers to create a back wall display that showed their understanding of some of the reasons animals here are at risk...and what positive action can be taken to help them.
On Friday we were incredibly lucky to have a trip to the Phnom Tamao Wildlife rescue centre. It was wonderful to get up close with many of the animals we had been researching and see what positive action was being taken to keep these animals protected and safe.
