We enjoyed DEAR time - Drop Everything and Read! When the announcement was made...we all stopped what we were doing and enjoyed a good book!
Today's mystery reader was Mr Johnny from Grade 2. We loved hearing his stories and having him join our classroom.
We worked hard on our Book Week door display. It had to be on a math theme and be environmentally friendly. We made the earth using recycled and scrap paper. We found facts related to our unit and solved math problems related to them. today Our visiting author went around the classes to judge the doors.
We displayed the Earths we made from air dry clay on the window sills...along with our explanations of how the Earth changes.
We also went for a walk around the other grades to see their incredible book week doors.
