The Power of Reflection

Reflection is an important part of learning. This week we have been taking part in many activities to promote our reflection skills. We looked at what was on our plates in the cafeteria and reflected on the choices we were making in regards to our nutrition.

We explored the visible thinking routine - 'I used to think... but now I think...' This routine helped students to reflect on their thinking about sleep, nutrition, exercise, mental health, and hygiene and explore how and why it had changed. By examining and explaining how and why their thinking had changed, students developed their reasoning abilities.

We used the beautiful paper we created on dot day to reflect on and record our understanding of what growth mindset means to us. Then we created a personal growth mindset goal to hang on our tree.
