Mind Master and Head Hassler

As part of our unit of inquiry, we have been looking at growth mindset (the belief that you can develop your abilities), and mental health. We talked about how the things we say and the thoughts we have can impact on the way we feel. One phrase we learned was 'the way that we think affects the way that we feel, which affects the way that we act."

We called these positive and negative thoughts 'The Head Hassler' and 'The Mind Master' and tried to imagine what they would look like if they took on human form. Children drew them and brainstormed the things they would say, do and how they would make us feel. We are writing poems on the same theme which are shaping up beautifully!
