The First Week

Wow...what a fabulous week of learning we have had. The children have started the year with a positive attitude and great work habits. Here are a few snapshots of our learning this week.

Writing: We wrote about our families, cultures and interests and published our work in mini 'Selfie' booklets. 





In mathematics, we learned some new games, established our math routines, and completed some math puzzles.


In library, we learned how to issue and return our own books! It was a lot of fun!

We revisited the gecko's choice - A set of strategies we use at school to help us solve social problems. We wrote statements that reflected our understanding and made some beautiful gecko artworks using sharpie and dye.

We made name tags for our cubbies to brighten our environment.

We also talked about the things that impact on our learning. We discussed what helps and hinders our progress and wrote an essential agreement that reflects the type of classroom we want to be in.

We decided that we need to do our best and put effort into our learning!
